LAND SUBDIVISION MAPS
The subdivision of real property in California is governed by a complex set of rules and regulations. Commonly referred to as The Subdivision Map Act, Section 66410 et seq. of the California Government Code sets forth the procedures and requirements to subdivide real property. Subdivisions include a major subdivision (5 or more lots) and a minor subdivision, also commonly known as a parcel map.
